Psalm 95:1-6-  O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

Earlier this week, we established that worship is a journey with God to experience His presence. When we come into God’s presence, He requires that we bring Him gifts and sacrifices of thanksgiving, praise, and worship. You can always follow these three steps when you want to experience God’s presence. First, you give Him thanks. Then, you give Him praise. Once you do those two things, you are ready to worship him.

Thanksgiving and Praise are forms of gratitude, while worship is an attitude. Through your times of thanksgiving and praise you come to a realization of how great your Lord is. But when you worship, you must go before Him with an attitude of belonging. You stand before God knowing that it is your right to be there. Why? Because you are His child.

Today, begin to thank God for what He has done for you. Thank Him for the blessings He continues to pour out on your life. Praise Him for who He is. Praise Him for His greatness. Begin to enter into His presence, and as you do, go before Him knowing that you have a right to be there and that He wants you there. God wants you.

If there are mistakes or anything else that make you hesitant to get into God’s presence, remind yourself of that fact. God wants you and He will accept you as you are. If you need to repent, tell God that you’re sorry, ask for forgiveness, and stand before the Lord knowing that God is not out to get you, He is out to have you! Make this a lifestyle: thank Him, praise Him and worship Him all the days of your life!
