What do you go to church for? A high percentage of people go to church to get their needs met. They think church is the need-meeting place. It’s not. First of all, you are not supposed to have any needs. But, if you stay in need-consciousness, that’s all you are going to be looking for. From this day forward, when you go to church, switch from need to purpose.

Our purpose is found in John 14:12 –

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Our purpose is to use the name of Jesus to be in authority. Our purpose is to yield to the Holy Spirit so that He can reveal the Father’s will to us and give us the power and anointing to carry the Father’s will out. When you do that, the Father is going to see to it that whatever you need will come to pass supernaturally, through His power and through His glory.

Romans 8:28 tells us: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

If you come to church with purpose on your mind, instead of getting a house, a car, or your other needs met, that purpose will override all your other problems.

1 John 3:8 says, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. So, get in on God’s purpose and guess what? The works of the devil will be destroyed in your life.
