For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. – Psalm 143:3-4
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant. – Psalm 143:10-12
A soul that is persecuted or afflicted, is a soul that cannot receive manifestation or demonstration from the spirit. Remember, your spirit is the part of you that communes with the spiritual realm. It is where God has already given you all spiritual blessings and fulfilled every promise that He made to you.
I cannot stress this enough. It doesn’t matter how much you pray or read your Bible, if your soul (thoughts, actions, feelings, beliefs) are in disagreement with what you are trying to believe for, you will not receive manifestation.
The spirit is always bringing you manifestation. But, your spirit becomes overwhelmed when it is constantly blocked by your soul.
Your soul has been looking on the wrong side of the coin. It is leaning more to your senses and the system than to your spirit. It is listening to the news, while your spirit is screaming, “Good news: You don’t belong to the system anymore! Don’t pay attention to what they say. They’re not talking to you. Turn around. You’re looking the wrong way.”
3 John 1:2 tells us, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Stop letting your soul turn your blessings around. Stop letting the enemy persecute your soul with religion and people who tell you that you’re not supposed to have much.
The 23rd Psalm is a prosperity psalm and it tells you that the Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want. It also talks about a prepared table in the midst of your enemies and a cup that will run over. But, before the table and the cup, it says, “He restoreth my soul.” Why? Because your soul is the thing that will prevent you from receiving the prepared table and the cup.
If your soul can’t handle prosperity, you can’t have it. An untrained soul with prosperity will become the devil’s workshop.
The reason why most Christians do not have plenty of money, or have the money that is due to them is because they haven’t worked on their soul enough.
