Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
When reading the Bible look for how it can be applied to your life. Meditate day and night does not mean read the Bible all day. Meditate means to think deeply or focus one’s mind for a period of time. When you think about something for a long time, you end up doing it. Right? That’s the way God’s Word is. When you have God’s Word on your mind throughout the day, you just begin to do it.
Think about what you read carefully. Ask yourself, “What is God’s mind on this?” When you have the Word of God in your heart, he will bring things up in your memory. If a problem comes up in your life, you have the ability to speak God’s Word and become victorious over it. Make this a lifestyle. Keep the Word in your heart and you will be prosperous and have good success in everything that you do!
