Romans 8:26 – Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Praying in the Spirit, or in tongues, gives you the mind of the spirit. The Spirit makes intercession for you when you speak in tongues because He knows exactly what you need. You become able to understand what God is saying and only God can understand what you are saying. You begin to think God’s thoughts and come into full agreement with God!
Sometimes, while you are praying in the Spirit, your emotions will rob you of experiencing the real presence of God. When God has to work around you and your own abilities, it blocks the flow of His presence, because He wants to be present in His wholeness.
You must recognize that you have infirmities. When you do that, self will move out of the way and you will be open to receive what God wants to do on your behalf.
See, praying in tongues creates an environment for God to work on your behalf. But just because the power of the Lord is present doesn’t mean you will automatically receive anything. You have to have expectations beyond the ability of self and just receive! Nothing can stop you when you are in God’s will.
Be consistent in praying in tongues and creating an atmosphere for the presence of God and you will be setup for one of the biggest breakthroughs in your life! Just yield and receive.
