Living a Grand Inner Life for a Grand Outer Life

Living a grand inner life is the key to living a grand outer life. The apostolic and prophetic lifestyle calls us beyond church membership to activated sonship. Ephesians 4:11–16 outlines the structure of this calling, with apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers equipping the saints for the work of ministry. Each role is essential, and the body of Christ thrives when every part is functioning in divine order.

This lifestyle requires operating in the mind of Christ at all times, as Philippians 2:5–11 teaches. Jesus lived in perfect submission to the Father, and we are called to do the same. By positioning ourselves under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we align with His purposes and allow Him to flow through us supernaturally. This is not about striving but about resting in the revelation that grace has already made every provision available to us.

Second Peter 1:3–4 reinforces this truth, reminding us that His divine power has given us “all things that pertain to life and godliness.” This is not merely theoretical; it is practical. As we live out our faith daily, adding virtue, knowledge, and perseverance, we become partakers of His divine nature. This transformation empowers us to live victoriously in every area of life.

The supernatural flow begins with the inner life. By renewing our minds, restoring our souls, and maintaining an awareness of God’s presence, we position ourselves for outward impact. The world will see the fruit of our inner transformation, and through us, they will encounter the power and glory of God.

Ephesians 4:11–16 KJV

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Philippians 2:5–11 KJV

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

2 Peter 1:3–4 KJV

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
