2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
As you meditate on this scripture have these things in mind:
- Doctrine means the established order of God.
- Reproof means dismantling of erroneous thinking.
- Correction is the assimilation of truth in thought process.
- Instruction is the systematic application of God’s word in your life.
When you read a scripture look for doctrine, reproof, correction, or instruction. Ask yourself, “Is God giving instructions in this scripture or maybe even correction?” The scriptures are there to help you in every area of your life. So as you go about studying and meditating scriptures, search for understanding in them to see exactly what it is that God has inspired for you to know!
