John 4:23 says, But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Why would God feel the need to use the term, “true worshippers?” Undoubtedly, there must be some false worship going on. False worshippers are those people Jesus was referring to in Matthew 15:8, who honor Him with their lips but their hearts are from Him. God, your Father, is seeking true worshippers. He is looking for people who are going to worship Him, not for what they can get from Him, but because they want to experience more of Him. Seeking is two-sided.
God is seeking you to be a true worshipper and it is your seeking of Him that makes you a true worshipper. When you seek God from a true heart, your wants and your needs become invisible. It is unnecessary to even be concerned about your wants and needs because the by-product of your seeking is the manifestation of whatever you need!
