Luke 18:1 – And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Prayer keeps us from failing. That means if we don’t pray, we are going to: faint, lose heart, give up, cave in, or quit.  Once you develop your prayer life, you have to stick with it and allow the Lord to give you an appetite for prayer.

Just like physical hunger let’s you know that it is time to eat food; your Spiritual hunger should let you know that it is time to pray. Your prayer appetite will cause you to get the answers that you need.

Pray about everything – the minor things and the major things. It will keep you constantly connected to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. When the hard times come, and they will come, if you’re prayed up, you will be able to stay on your feet and not faint. Physical food is one thing, but if there is one meal you NEED everyday, it is prayer. Always keep an appetite for prayer!
