meditation526142 Corinthians 10:4-5 – (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

I heard a statement many years ago that has stuck with me ever since because it is so powerful. It says, You must handcuff every thought so that you can investigate it to see if it is from God or from the enemy.

When a thought is trying to come in you must question it and see if it is in agreement with: God’s Word, the image of God, and the righteousness of God. If it is not, you have to tell it that it cannot come in.

You may not always be able to control what thoughts come into your mind but you can control how far you let that thought make progress in your mind and in your life**. This is why we need to stop all thoughts at the gate of your mind. Every thought needs to check in at the registration desk, if they don’t match the criteria, you kick it out.

The next time a crazy thought tries to enter into your mind you tell it, “If you are not in agreement with God’s Word, the image of God, or the righteousness of God, I am not in agreement with you!”
