God stresses the importance of us receiving revelation over and over again in His Word.

1 corinthians 2:9-10 says, But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Now, spirit and heart are interchangeable. But, the thing I want you to note here is that God has “things” prepared for us. Not just material things but any and every “thing” we could ever need. But, those “things” cannot be received through the senses or through psychology – they have to be revealed to us by the Holy Spirit.

Next, I want you to see,

John 1:12 – But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

&

Romans 8:14 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Now, many stop at John 1:12 and never learn how to function in the power or use the power.

You believe on His name right? Well, why do so many of us live like invalids when it comes down to the supernatural? We act like we are incapacitated when things come against us and we put up with too much. We have so much stored up power, but don’t know how to use it properly.

The way you are supposed to live is where anything extraordinary can happen at any moment. Creative miracles can take place. Those things which you have been putting up with for a long time can leave immediately. You have a right to receive them because you are a son of God.

So now, you may ask yourself, well what is it that He wants me to do? One scripture says in order for you to be a son, you have to receive Him and the other says you have to be led.

Well, you can’t just stop at receiving Him, you have to go a step further and be led by Him. In every Spiritual move you make, you can’t take a scripture without being led. If God doesn’t breathe on your chapter and your verse, you’re just rehearsing but you will not receive anything. If you are not led, you will not receive the things that God has prepared for you.

Revelation is key. I can’t stress this enough. Today, in your own personal study time with God, take the time to locate some more scriptures about revelation. As you do, ask the Holy Spirit to breathe on those scriptures and make them alive to you.
