Romans 12:1-3 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Your spirit has to be trained in order for you to even recognize the supernatural. A good way to train your spirit is to recognize that your spirit is king, your soul is the servant, and your body is the slave. If you are going to flow and function in the supernatural like you are supposed to, you are going to have to keep your spirit, soul, and body in their proper places.
If you train your spirit right, then your soul and your body will have no choice but to fall in line.
The first three verses in Romans 12 represent a divine line-up for operating in the supernatural and training your spirit properly. When it says, present your body as a living sacrifice it is actually talking about worship. You have to make your body worship.
Then, you have to renew your mind with the Word of God so that it can be transformed. If your mind is not renewed, you won’t be able to access the thoughts of God. Lastly, you must have faith for the supernatural.
You must train your spirit. If not, God can walk right by you and you won’t even notice that it’s Him. Is it possible that sometimes you don’t even recognize God standing beside you? Could it be that God answered you but your spirit wasn’t trained enough to recognize it?
Train your spirit to recognize God at any moment and at all times. If you are going to operate in the supernatural and recognize miracles, signs, and wonders you have to have: a trained spirit, a renewed mind, and a submitted body.
