But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. – John 14:26 (Amp)

During times when you don’t know how to pray for a particular situation, it is best to pray in the Spirit. When you do, the Holy Spirit will do two things: He will come against the problem and hold you together at the same time.

Sometimes I need to be held together, what about you? In this world and in this life, tough times will come– pray in the Spirit and let the Holy Ghost hold you in place until you can find your way out of that dark spot or situation. When you pray, you are being edified – He is building you up and taking you out of the sense realm.

Read the scripture above again. Let the Holy Spirit be all of those things to you when you need Him to be. He is your counselor. He is your helper. He is your intercessor, your advocate, your strengthener, and your standby. I’m so glad I have all of those things available to me whenever I need them. Aren’t you?
