7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. – Galatians 6:7-9
Remember, yesterday we talked about being an honorable sower. We discussed how honorable sowers, sow no matter what because they trust God. Well, I want you to know how to be honorable in your sowing by telling you how people can be dishonorable in their sowing.
You see, God is always trying to advance sowers. He takes them from level to level by testing them. Testing their willingness and obedience to His Word and how much they look to Him as their source and not their money. But, many times, people fail the sowing test and get angry when God does not advance them to the next level. That is when the spirit of dishonor creeps in.
The spirit of dishonor causes you to fail the sowing test. The spirit of dishonor is that voice that comes in to tell you that you won’t see the harvest from your seeds. It tells you that you must have done something wrong because it is taking too long for you to see results.
You must shut that spirit of dishonor up when it brings those thoughts into your mind. Meditate on this passage in the 6th chapter of Galatians. Know that GOD IS NOT MOCKED. Whatever you sow, you will reap. Don’t get weary. Don’t get worried.
ALL sowing has a due season.
It is vital that you meditate God’s Word daily, not just for your sowing, but for your life. As you do, you will come to know Him more and more and you the promises that you see in His Word will become real to your heart and mind. So real that if any other voice comes to you that speaks contrary to what God has already told you, you will recognize it as a lie, immediately!
