Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? – Matthew 6:26

I want you to see three things in this verse that describe the characteristics of a bird:

  1. Birds don’t have the capability of sowing
  2. Birds don’t have the capability of reaping
  3. Birds do not have accounts to store their goods and can make no deposits.

Now, I want you to  ask yourself, “Are you not much better than they?”

Most Christians live like a bird because they don’t understand the factor that can cause them to live the highest possible life in this earth realm, which is sowing. Why live a bird lifestyle when you don’t have to? You don’t have to settle for living a life with the bare necessities, only sometimes receiving a little bit extra.

You see, all birds live on the same level but God gave us the choice to choose what level we want to live on. God gave us the opportunity to sow, so that we can live on a higher level than the birds.

Jesus was telling us, “I’ve made you in a different class. I’ll take care of you. I’ll give you the necessities of life, but I didn’t build you to live on necessity.”

God has given us a way to change our financial climate, to increase, to have abundance, to live in prosperity, and overflow. The birds don’t have that opportunity. The birds can’t sow, but you can sow. There is Spiritual provision that the Father has provided for sowers only because He will not violate His law.

Quit living like a bird. Yeah, The Lord will take care of and you will survive. But, you are in His likeness and in His image. Shouldn’t you truthfully represent the God that you serve? How high do you want to go? What do you want your life to be? How do you want to live?

God needs you to step up higher so you can be a financier for Him. But the only way you will be able to do that is by sowing.

You are not a bird.
