Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. – Luke 6:38
This verse is talking about measurements, but some people want the good measure, the pressed down, the shaken together, and the running over all at once – they want it today. They get a revelation of stewardship and sowing and reaping – and they expect to reap a bumper crop from $20 they put in the offering plate on time! Certainly you have to start somewhere, but you have to increase in increments.
God wants you to increase your level of giving as your faith increases to give more. And He desires that you experience levels of victory along the way. He doesn’t want you to give and give for years and be in straits and distress. He wants you to celebrate every victory, every blessing, and every level of increase with thanksgiving, acknowledging Him gratefully and humbly as the giver of every good gift (James 1:17).
With Purposed Heart, Apostle, I Fully Embrace The Fresh Revelation Of Luke 6:38. I Fully Agree That Giving Should Increase As The Faith Increases. God Desires My Giving To Reflect Levels Of Victory That I Encounter Along The Way. I Make The Fresh Resolve, To Not Be Satisfied With The Same Level Of Giving. I Shall Always Increase My Giving That Celebrates Victories, Every Blessing And Every Level Of Increase That Clearly Acknowledges Him Gratefully And Humbly As The Giver Of Every Good Gift (James1:17).
Amen Apostle Thompson! I receive that God wants me to increase my level of giving as my faith increases to give more. I receive that He desires that I experience levels of victory along the way. I receive that He doesn’t want me to give and give for years and be in straits and distress. I receive that He wants me to celebrate every victory, every blessing, and every level of increase with thanksgiving, acknowledging Him gratefully and humbly as the giver of every good gift. I receive it in Jesus’ name! Many blessings, Sir! Amen!
