For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10
There are two main reasons that the Christians and the church, overall, are suffering so much in their finances and are not walking in their inheritance of prosperity and abundance of money.
The first reason stems from social and cultural conditioning. Some people are conditioned to be broke. Many have been conditioned to believe that they are supposed to “suffer” for the Lord and that a part of being “humble” as a Christian is doing without. Jesus Christ died on the Cross for you to have everything and you never have to be in condemnation about receiving what Jesus paid for you to have.
The second reason stems from lack of understanding of spiritual law. The scriptures in God’s Word give us spiritual laws. But, until those scriptures become law in your life, you won’t be able to have what God says is yours.
See, your Christian life is not about just memorizing verses and confessing scripture – it is about coming to the realization that God’s Word is fact. It is about you realizing that every lack, insufficiency, sickness, or area of defeat is lying to you about who you are. And, you must find in the Word where those problem areas are counteracted and ask the Holy Spirit to show you that truth in your heart.
Everything that the Word says you can do and everything that God’s Word says you can have is: spiritual law! You must ask the Holy Spirit to train your heart not to doubt spiritual law.
When you come to the place where nobody can tell you who you can’t be, what you can’t have, or where you can’t go – there won’t be anything that you can’t be, can’t have, and nowhere that you can’t go!
