Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. – Psalm 1:1-3
The last words of this passage read, “…and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Why don’t we see more of this happening? Because if we want to walk in this kind of favor and blessing from the Lord, we’re going to have to what verse 1 says. We can’t receive ungodly counsel and at the same time try to walk in the godly counsel of God’s Word. If we keep company with those who oppose God’s Word or who won’t take a stand on it, their unbelief will have an effect on us.
Also, if we are keeping company with scorners or mockers, we will suffer the consequences when we look for the favor of God. We are prevented from taking hold of it because of wrong words we allowed to enter our ears and get into our heart and mind.
Make no mistake about it: The Wrong kind of company will corrupt you. It will keep you out of the realm of God’s favor and remove you from God’s systemic plan of blessing you.
Amen Apostle! I receive that the Wrong kind of company will corrupt me. It will keep me out of the realm of God’s favor and remove you from God’s systemic plan of blessing me. Many Blessings sir. Amen!
