But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) – 2 Corinthians 9:6-10
No matter how often you read or have read this passage of scripture, don’t take it lightly. If you are suffering in your finances, this may just be the problem.
There are a few key things I want to point out to help you not just take this passage as just any passage:
- God’s Word is true – if you are one who sows sparingly, you can expect to reap sparingly. It is not God’s fault if you are not seeing returns on your seed as often as you would like, it is yours.
- Purpose in your heart to give. This is also a qualification of being a good steward. Whatever it is you have, always be prepared to give it if instructed.
- Grace is favor not labor. You don’t have to work for what is already rightfully yours – paid for on the Cross. But, you do have to be obedient in your sowing for this grace to make all things abound toward you and take you out of a place of insufficiency.
- Verse 10 – Both, the seed comes from God and the harvest comes from God. God’s method to increase you in this earth realm, Seedtime and harvest, is almost like taking a test you already have the answers to. Your obedience is the only thing required to pass it.
Today Apostle, here and Now, I read and take heed to the Freshness of 2 Corinthian 9:6-10. I Do Receive That God’s Word Is True. Moreover, I Receive That The Seed and the Harvest Come From God. Considering That Seed Time And Harvest Is like A Test, I Shall Continue To Pass by Being Obedient In My Sowing.
Amen Apostle!! I receive that I must purpose in my heart to give. I receive that this is also a qualification of being a good steward. I receive that whatever it is I have, I must always be prepared to give it if instructed.I receive that Grace is favor not labor. I don’t have to work for what is already rightfully mine– paid for on the Cross. But, I do have to be obedient in my sowing for this grace to make all things abound toward me and take me out of a place of insufficiency. I receive it in Jesus’ name! Many Blessings sir! Amen.
