Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7

You don’t have to be anxious or worried about anything because you have the ability to appropriate all the promises of God by faith. To ‘appropriate’ means to take possession of something for one’s own use.

You will stay in a position of power all the time if you understand that all the promises of God are yea and amen in Christ. Christ is in you, therefore, all the promises reside in you. Worry and fear come when you don’t fully believe in the promise. But, you can rid yourself of all uncertainty when you realize that the promise has already shown up.

Because of the fallen nature of man, God doesn’t just give things to us. Those who trust and believe in Him must work in partnership with Him to receive everything He has freely given.

Your partnership is a gift from God because you have something to do with how you come out here. If not, you wouldn’t have the pleasure of operating in faith. You would be a robot. You would just be in an assembly line with everybody else.

You can call those things that be not as though they were, because they are, in another dimension. Faith never forgets that.

Your confidence level, in God, will stay high if you dwell on this fact: whatever I need already belongs to me.

In Philippians 4:6, notice that thanksgiving precedes the request. The reason for this is that the request is really not asking God for anything. It is acknowledging what you know already exists in your account because you’re a child of God. So, you can thank him for it without even seeing it.

See, you have to know that prosperity is already yours, and all you’re doing when you’re sowing, when you’re saying, when you’re praying, is just rightfully taking a hold of what is already yours!
