How you give your money to the Lord and His work is your measuring stick, so to speak, of how much you love God. Some people don’t want to touch the subject of money in connection with how much they love God. They don’t think that it’s spiritual to make a correlation between money and loving God.
In Mark 12, why did Jesus sit at the treasury to see how much the people were giving? And it is noted in 1 Kings 3 that because of Solomon’s love for God and willingness to obey Him, he was blessed with both riches and honor.
People who are “stingy” with their money forget that it is God who has given them all that they have in the first place. They also fail to recognize that when God asks you to give, He is always setting you up to receive more than what you had before.
When you make God and His work your treasure, you’ll never have to be concerned about not having enough!
