Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. – Job 22:21-25
The indictment in this chapter was from one friend to another. But, if I look at the scripture right, this same indictment can be given to the church. At large, we have not been acquainted with God about His prosperity and provision. We have not understood the God of prosperity and how to function, flow, and use our faith properly to get rid of financial fear, limitation, and lack.
The indictment is: “Acquaint now thyself with Him.” You have to know that He is a good god. You have to know that He takes care of his own. You have to know He knew what he was doing when He sent Jesus to die, to bring us back into another Garden of Eden.
Many proclaim to be acquainted with God, yet doubt and fight prosperity. Well, they really don’t know Him, because that’s one of the first attributes of God – that He is the God of more than enough. He is the God that never runs out. He’s the God where no problem is too big for Him. He’s the God that can manifest in a desert.
When the children of Israel were in the wilderness, there were no baker’s shops or meat shops around. Yet, He was enough God then to provide waffles to be on the ground in the morning and quails that had heart attacks in the evening for their food.
When you become acquainted with Him, the Bible becomes God talking to you. All the stories in the Bible about God was just God trying to tell you who He is. Not, who He was – who He still is today!
If you need some miracle money, God can make it happen for you. But, you’ve got to become acquainted with Him, His system, how He works, how He functions, and the ways He operates.
