In Matthew 6, Jesus repeats “take no thought” multiple times for a reason. He’s leading us somewhere.

Let’s start at verse 24.
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat (that’s money), or what ye shall drink (that’s money); nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on (that’s money). Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
Matthew 6:24-27

How much have you taken thought for your life, finances, and the everyday things you need? We have to get rid of this. We have to stop being conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2), so that we can take upon the thoughts of God.
