Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. – 2 Corinthians 9:7

Recognize that you will always sow sparingly, if you don’t get a purpose in your heart.  “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart,” so shall he sow.  This is a heart issue.  The reason you don’t sow anymore than you do now is just a hand issue to you.

You’re sowing with your hand, and your heart’s not in it.  Ask the Lord.  Say, “Lord, let my heart be in my sowing.”  What’s that gonna do?  That will erase the fear.  Your heart will erase sowing fear.  Your hand can’t do it.  I don’t care how much you talk to your hand.  Your hand is, “No, we can’t give that.”  But God has to have your heart.

What you have to do is recognize that your heart must be in sowing.  Your hand will never meet the command of being a real sower unless it’s receiving instruction from your heart.

Your connection with God is not in your hand.  Where’s your connection with God?  In your heart.  So, your heart has to run the whole system.  Do you know what your heart is?  Your soul, your mind, your emotion, your feelings, your will and your conscience.  All of those things have to be in the presence of God to become a real bonafide sower.
