Isaiah 55:8 – For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

God’s thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. That statement is a fact but that does not mean that we cannot think God’s thoughts or walk in His ways.

We are created in His image and He resides on the inside of us so that means that we have the ability to be like Him. But, the ability to do something does not mean that you will do it. You are able to think like God because you are a Christian but that does not mean that you will think like God.

God’s thoughts are written in His Word but they are not on the surface of the Word. He reveals the hidden knowledge and instruction in the Word when we renew our mind according to His thoughts. For this reason, the Holy Spirit can only reveal God’s thoughts to your renewed mind.

To the mind described in, Romans 12:2 –  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

It is the revelation from the Holy Spirit that transforms your mind into being able to be like God’s mind. Without the revelation, you can’t even comprehend God’s thoughts because they are not like ours. This is the reason many Christians turn to other sources for answers to their problems. They end up going to the psychiatrist or reading self-help material with no Jesus in them. The answers to every problem you need is in God’s Word.

God’s instructions don’t always sound normal. He is more intelligent than we are. So, it is our job to renew our mind with His Word and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal that Word to us so that we can think on the same wavelength that God does. Once you have learned this, you will never again be tempted to turn to anything else but God for your answer!meditation52914
