2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
God did not give us the spirit of fear. So, where did it come from? It came from the enemy. But, God did give us three forces to overcome fear. Those forces are: power, love, and a sound mind. Today, we are going to deal with power.
Power overcomes fear because it represents the ability to either overcome or change whatever you are facing. There are four levels of power that God gives us access to.
- Anointing – for ministry.
- Authority – the law of the Spirit or government
- Might – for spiritual warfare
- Dominion – over our territory.
In Acts 1:8, Jesus tells us, But ye shall receive power (anointing, authority, might, and dominion), after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: If you are spirit-filled, child of God, you have the power of God dwelling on the inside of you and it is always at your disposal.
You don’t have to fear. When something comes up, just know that you have enough power to overcome it. Why? Because you are dealing with the power of God and there is NO GREATER POWER THAN THE POWER OF GOD!
