Isaiah 33:6 – And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.
Acts 9:31 – Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
We know God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 tim 1:7) but the “spirit of fear” referred to in that verse is a “scary” fear. A fear that you are not going to get well when you’re sick. It’s a fear that you are not going to get your breakthrough when it looks like limitations are all around you. That’s a negative fear but there is a supernatural fear that will always give you a breakthrough to the supernatural.
The fear of the Lord is the master key to supernatural manifestation, demonstration, creative miracles, signs and wonders. It is a reverential fear for God that is needed in every step we take and in every decision we make. This fear, or reverence and respect for God, will not be developed unless you make a discovery of who God really is and understand what God has really done for you.
One of Jesus’ greatest benefits was the fear of the Lord. That was one aspect of anointing that He carried with Him. Before any decision, Jesus would pause and say, “Now what would my Father say about this?” He wouldn’t do anything but what He saw His Father do.
Jesus’ attitude was, If God my Father doesn’t agree with it, I won’t agree with it. If God won’t do it, I will not do it. That’s the way our lives should be. But, many have become complacent, compromising, and have subjected themselves to man’s control. Man has lost respect for God, and in turn, we have lost the power to give and receive deliverance where we need it.
If Jesus needed to walk in the fear of the Lord, how much more do you think that you and I need to walk in the fear of the Lord? God’s supernatural manifestation will not manifest in an unclean place, where there is no respect for Him. You cannot just live like everybody else and make excuses for living an unholy life. You are called to holiness, righteousness, sanctification, clean-living, and being pure-hearted. You are called to walk in the fear of the Lord.
Amen Apostle Thompson! I Totally Agree and Embrace This Meditation Word. It Is My Desire To Daily Moment By Moment Walk In The Fear Of the Lord Just Like Jesus. And That the Fear of the Lord Is The Master Key To Supernatural Manifestation.
Moreover The Fear of the Lord Is Necessary In Every Step and Decision I Make.
