One of the strongest statements made in the Bible was about setting your priorities right. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matt 6:33). We think our priorities should be to be wealthy, have nice houses, cars, or be successful. But, those are things that come when you have the proper priorities.
You can’t expect God to manifest in your life by seeking anything other than His kingdom. When you seek God, you are seeking His ways. You are seeking to hear what He has to say to you at any given moment. You see, God is always moving to a better place, therefore, if you want to keep moving to better places in your life, you must continue to move with Him. This is why you cannot be passive and why you need progressive revelation.
When you get your priorities straight, those things that you have been asking for for so long, will become yours. God will say, “Yeah you can have that because I know that when you get it, you will turn it back over to me,”
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. – Psalm 84:11
