And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. – 2 Corinthians 12:9
You must know the power of your infirmities. The Apostle Paul walked so successfully in his calling because he was aware of his infirmities or weaknesses and inabilities. Often, we think of infirmities as a sickness or disease, but in this verse Paul is talking about the things he is not able to do on his own. He is referring to the fact that he must recognize his weaknesses in order to be able to see the fulness of God’s strength.
If you are going to move from level to level in your walk with God, you must understand that it is not you who is causing the progress. You cannot do it on your own — you need help. No matter how high you go, you will always have infirmities. But, it is your inabilities that should make you depend on God even more.
Learn how to yield to the Spirit of God; let go of trying to do it all on your own and let God do what He wants to do for you.
Amen Apostle Thompson! With A Renewed Freshly Focused Mind I Embrace Corinthians 12:9. Like Paul I Want Continually To Aware Of My Inability And Weaknesses, And That I Can Do Nothing On My Own. Increasingly May It Be My Desire To Yield To The Spirit of God, I Do Not Want To Do It On My Own. I Want To Permit God To Do What He Wants To Do On My Behalf. Amen! I Receive!
