“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV)

According to our scriptural text, “…blinded the minds of them which believe not…” – when you are living a life of carnality, you are living in a state of mind as if you believe not.  The consequence to you not possessing the proper knowledge and wisdom of God is that you become an ever-ticking time bomb Christian. Tick, Tick, Tick! You might explode due to failure at any minute. The enemy knows that he does not have the ability to blind us, nor does he have the authority to turn the light out on us because we are saved. However, when we become carnal-minded, we drift away from our divine rights.

To prevent these events from occurring, we must continuously keep the words of Romans 12:2 in play, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.  Yes, we are very aware that satan is the god of the world and its mind; yet, some may not be as clear in understanding that he is also the god to all carnal-minded Christians.

Christians commit sinful acts because their minds are not renewed, their bodies are in complete control of their souls, and their lives are in complete disarray. They are a huge carnal mess! Romans 12:2 is the ounce of prevention that becomes more valuable to your life than any pound of carnality trying to distract you and pull your attention away from the things of God. “Be not conformed to this world…” means do not ever take on the shape of the world for any reason; the confirmation occurs when you succumb to this mind world and all that functions within that systematic state. You are empowered to remain in the renewed mind positioning; for when you are – you will see the truths of God that are unrecognizable to the blinded world. For in your renewed mind, it will all be revealed. Now, the world belongs to us!
