Proverbs 10:22 – The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
The word “sorrow” means hard labor. When Adam fell, God told him that he would have to work from the sweat of his brow. Part of the curse was for mankind to have to labor for everything. Thus, many people live their whole lives laboring for what they have.
As believers, we have been delivered from that curse. Working two jobs or getting an education is not the answer to our financial dilemmas.
The NIV translation of Proverbs 10:22 says, The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.
So, if I told you that God wants you out of debt and to live in abundance, not lack — your first thought should not be about a better job, or education, or an increase in your business. Your first thought should be grace or favor. You should think, God promised it to me so He will make it come to pass.
You have to change your mindset about your finances by switching from verse 32 to verse 33 in the 6th chapter of Matthew. The word “seek” in both of those verses determines where you will stand financially. You are to seek how God’s kingdom works when it comes to finances. Seek the laws and principles that operate God’s kingdom system for finances.
Learn who to trust for your money and learn who to trust with your money.
If you seek what the Bible promised you, by labor, you’ll never find it.
Ask and Listen to the Holy Spirit for unusual strategies from God concerning your finances.
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Matthew 6:32-33
